At QVIS Lighting and Security, we are looking to recruit an experienced Warehouse Operative to join our busy team. Reporting to the Warehouse Team Leader, the Warehouse Operative will be responsible for taking deliveries, preparing orders and ensuring smooth operation in a regulated environment. The role is full time: Monday - Friday, 9:00am – 6:00pm.

We are a leading CCTV distributor with over 20 years’ experience in the security sector. We're a well-established brand and have seen recent rapid growth and expansion. We command a global presence and are recognised as a significant influence in our market sector. We are making inroads in specification and our name is growing traction through the major projects we're involved in.

Responsibilities

• • Check goods on receipt from suppliers for all products and deliveries, and book them onto our system accurately and in a timely manner.
• • Place the goods onto the correct shelving and put stock away.
• • Collect stock from other departments and place goods into alphabetical order, bring forward goods with early expiry dates. Check on stocks on a regular basis.
• • Collect orders as per the picking notes.
• • Pick and package the orders, label with the correct customers name, address, and order number. Large orders need to be collected and placed onto pallets.
• • Operate in full compliance with current Health and Safety requirements.
• • Attend stock takes as required and work as part of a team.
• • General warehouse tidying and sorting.
• • Other duties as assigned by Team Leader in line with company needs.

Skills and Experience

• • Previous min. 6 months experience in a Warehouse environment
• • Reach truck and forklift license
• • Practical skills and hands-on
• • Organisational and record-keeping skills
• • Time-keeping skills
• • Experience in a regulated environment (preferable)
• • Competent in using computer
